"100" old people together again

Again, the almost 100 old people drawings (some missing, of course)

About the poem

From november.

(what surrounds the drawing/painting/thing matters. Maybe it's because we like some things with details or feelings...)

Painting process (girl part)

Painting process draft

My weekend. I actually had to finish this project for monday, but being honest, I think it was something like a failure. STILL, it left many things learnt.

So, basically, I wanted to do my own filming of painting process like Supakitch and Koralie* (in a much more home-made littler way, though haha) and when the painting was ready add movement by a little animation of the gears. The painting is about clockwork and its application (a little bit fictional) in a music box.

* Niñitaaaa! De verdad amé el video, es muy inspiracional

Experimental anim

Uhhh! Haha, so excited because I made this veeery little animation :). It's just amazing watching your work begin moving on the screen.

So this was made scratching with a cutter the black part of a narrow film-like thing (the tape you see in the films, just smaller) and then putting it in the machine they had. They kept our works, but when they give them back I'll take a photo that explains it better.

(3 points to whomever guesses what it's about! Haha)

Workshops

Waa! I'm staying a little behind in updates!

These two days at school have been fun. We have had workshops and will be having them for two weeks more. Workshops are like... a specific subject for one day. At the moment, the system goes like this: They have three choices of workshops per day, so you choose one the day before. I had watercolour on monday and life drawing today. Thursday will be animation.

Great, right?

I will be going now. See you later!

Christmas

Merry Christmas :)

C Day

December 17th. School Project.

I was very lucky to print the cards in that kind of material, since first I printed them in photo paper. The photo paper made them bright and cheap looking, while this soft and texturized paper made them look expensive and got a nice tone of colour.

Joker & J

According to the little research I made, the Joker was later represented as a clown because people tended to confuse it with "The Fool" from tarot cards. The 'Ace' card represented the people who served the king, who later would gain power and remove the nobility (the card from the king). That's why it's higher than the King's card.

Also, they made the cards to be seen from both sides so people didn't know or guess which cards the other had when they turned around (because we usually do this when a picture is upside down).

Little words

Just writing a little bit to keep this updated.

I'm back to my country, and it's just warm days passing by. Soon it will be Christmas~

Stencils and ink.

10 clover

Multiplied the scan of the tree (which is made on tracing paper) and changed the opacity in Photoshop.
